About Sophie
Sophie Alliott is an artist based in London. Her fascination with the human form, which dominates her work, began at Leeds College of Art where she was surrounded by the legacy of Henry Moore and Barbara Hepworth. After a degree in Fine Art at Leeds University she then studied at The London College of Fine Art where she focused on figurative sculpture and portraiture in the Florentine style.
Commercial Work
Whilst continuing to paint and sculpt in studio space at the college, Sophie produced advertising commercials for iconic brands like Guinness. Working in a collaborative creative environment was a formative experience, but the gravitational pull of her easel was too strong. She now works as a solo artist full-time.
Sophie's Studio
Sophie's studio is in south London. She takes commissions and offers a bespoke framing service if required.
Whilst working across a variety of mediums, Alliott predominantly focuses on large-scale oil paintings.
She is represented by Cricket Fine Art (Park Walk, Chelsea).
